Welcome!!   Our breeding schedule has been updated on 05-13-2012.  Lantanna kidded on 3-12-12 with twin bucks, one is still available. We will be offering most newborn kids and some adults this early summer. Our results from our latest CAE test done in December 2011 are back and all are negative.  We have decided to offer San Mateo for sale.  We have some very well bred bucklings for sale, see them on the sales page.

WE ARE HOME FROM OUR FIRST SHOW OF 2012.  LIL RED WAS JUNIOR GRAND CHAMPION AT THE GOATS IN GATORLAND SHOW IN FLORIDA ON MARCH 24, AND DIMPLIN WAS JUNIOR RESERVE BOTH UNDER DANIEL YOUNG.

FLOWER WAS NAMED JUNIOR GRAND AT THE CLEMSON S. CAROLINA SHOW UNDER JUDGE MATT CASSELMAN. MAY 5, 2012.   ISIS WAS JUNIOR RESERVE TWICE UNDER JAY RUDOLPH AND MATT CASSELMAN  MAY 5, 2012.  DIMPLIN WENT JUNIOR GRAND UNDER TODD BIDDLE ON MAY 6 AND  KOOKIE DOE WENT SENIOR GRAND CHAMPION UNDER TODD BIDDLE AND GARY WHITEHEAD MAY 6, 2012.  KOOKIE IS NOW FINISHED AS A FIRST FRESHENER.

In 2012 we will be on standard milk test again, and once again have our herd Lineal Appraised.  We also are planning to compete in the ADGA National Show.

We only had four does appraised in 2011.  Everyone else was dry.  Two were stale and two were almost too fresh. Still everyone fell into the Very Good and Excellent ratings!!

Our Nigerian herd is small but promising. We are striving to breed the ideal miniature dairy goat. We desire structurally correct does with well attached capacious udders.

Dumplins and DimplesThe Nelsons at a goat show.

We test all of our animals for CAE on a yearly basis and remain CAE free - latest test results DECEMBER 2011.  Our herd is TB and Brucellosis certified and we participate in the volunteer scrapies program.

After a tremendous ride with our Nubians and Alpines, we have decided to turn our attention to our Nigerians. We only have two standard breed old girls left,  Gum Drop and Raspberry. They will live out their days with us. They have given us many joyful memories and we are now honored to look after them.

We realize that breeding is not an exact science and not every animal turns out exactly the way we had hoped. You will not find lofty descriptions of our animals. We will do our best, however, to accurately describe our individual goat's strengths and weaknesses.
